Hey!, Remember my New Year's Resolutions?

Well, guess what?

I'm checking in.

I feel so. much. better!

No kidding.

I have to admit, I didn't think I'd really stick to any of them. Ya know, I don't have to hold myself accountable if not "that many" people even read it. But, I have done pretty good.

I've been Zumba-ing it up, and sometimes I even go a half an hour early to run a mile.

I drink a half of a gallon a day of water. Most of the time.

I've been eating cleaner.

And the biggest difference has been from.....................ready for this?

I take a lot. But it seriously helps!

Here's what happened. After I watched "Food Matters" on Netflix about getting your vitamins through fruit and pills...I had a major "AH HA" moment. I sat there, locked in the bathroom, painting my nails and watching this documentary (this is my alone time)...and I thought..."Why not?"

Here's what I take:
LOTS of Vitamin C- like 6 pills. You can't o.d.
Fish Oil
Vitamin E
Dandelion Root

{And, just a fun fact, did you know that vitamin C can be used as a replacement for Chemotherapy? Serious. They, as in doctors, don't use it a lot because #1 they probably aren't as comfortable with that as they are with actual chemo, and #2 vitamin C is cheap so why would they? Not that I'm against chemo, but there is the option to use Vitamin C instead.

The documentary showed 3 different patients who were diagnosed with cancer, and within 3 months tumors had shrunk and these people were doing great. It's given through IV, and it's somewhere around 200,000 mg that is injected. It doesn't kill good cells while it does destroy cancer cells. Hmm. Neat, huh!?}

Vitamins can be used instead of certain things like anti-anxiety/depression medications, and so many other things. Our bodies are made to heal themselves, and sometimes vitamins alone will help. Keep in mind, this documentary I watched MONTHS ago, and it is not against the medical profession. It just informs you and educates you on more natural healing...

This kind of stuff floats my boat.

Anyway, I no longer have anxiety attacks OR panic attacks, and I have not struggled with stress like in the past. SO grateful.

(juice cleanse. awesome. Lost almost 4lbs. and the hubs lost  a whopping 9lbs! Great way to get rid of bloat and extra weight!)

So, that's my update, and I am glad it's at least good news and not that I totally failed.

And...J and I want it to be spring...

Jaiya Ivie

How on earth do I keep time still?

Jaiya is seriously changing by the hour, and I almost panic at the thought I may not remember to document everything. I seriously don't want to forget one tiny second.

I haven't posted in a few months on her stats and what she's learned so here goes.

HEAD- 19 1/2"
HEIGHT- 33 1/2"

According to the "old saying" that you double the height you are at on your 2nd birthday, Jaiya is going to tower over her poor midget mother, and be a whopping 5'6! I'm crossing my fingers that this is true! No one should have to be as short as me...

At this point there is not one thing this kid doesn't say as far as vocabulary goes. She has full on conversations with us every day.

One thing that cracks me up every time, is in the morning...I go to her room and I'm stumbling around cause I, as I have mentioned before, am NOT a morning person. She's says, "Look mama, the sun is up! It's not bedtime anymore." She says it so enthusiastically that I can't help but barely turn up the side of my mouth into the slightest little smile. Then, I walk her in to go potty, cause you know, first things first. And she says, "Mama, you need to talk to me." In a more serious tone this time. I of course respond with, "Ok, what do you want to talk about?" Then it's just, " YOU NEED TO TALK TO MEEEEE!!!!" We never do talk about much. It's more of a question war.

One thing that never seizes to amaze me is that I can explain anything to her. If she wants something, and I seriously can't get it for her at the moment, I explain what I am doing and when and if she can have it and she's totally cool about it. She doesn't usually continuing with whining...occasionally yes, but mostly no.

She started singing what she says now...like, "Mama is washing the dishes..." in a frilly singing voice. Or, "Where are my shoes...I can't find them..." It's hilarious.

This kid could play hide-n-seek til the end of time if you'd let her.

She LOVES to help. With dishes, cleaning, cooking....whatever you are doing she wants in.

This includes my make-up. She loves a fun girly sesh where we do make-up, nails, and hair....

She knows exactly where we are at when we drive around town. She will look out the window and say, "There's grandma Lily's house." "There's Xander's house." "There's Papa and Grandma's."

And she loves going to "Rickshfield." She loves a good ride in the car and shopping.

She looks forward to church, and loves nursery! She's been going since she was a year old, and she doesn't miss me a bit!

This little girl is one of a kind, I love her more than I could ever say. Our favorite thing to say to each other:

Another Love Day Success!

I've decided that I really REALLY like Valentine's Day.

Especially this one.

Jaiya was so much fun.

I had to work for a few hours on V-Day, so daddy took J to Rosie's to Posie's where she was able to pick something out for me. Whatever she wanted.  She picked out the cutest little arrangement of flowers and she has given them to me somewhere around...hmm.. 12 times. Along with, "Happy Valentine's Mommy." Even today, I got them...again.

Dustin on the other hand, knows that from him, I'd much rather have something substantial. Like....ya know....a JUICER! I was so surprised. I have hinted subtly, and and not so subtly, that I really wanted one. And, to my amazement, he delivered a bag with my juicer in it, and my flowers from Jaiya to work. None of which was expected. There are holiday's when you pretend not to expect something and then those where you REALLY don't expect anything. This year, I didn't expect anything. Especially as much as I got. And, obviously I LOVED it.

Who doesn't want to be spoiled?

Especially on a holiday dedicated to lovers?

(Speaking of lovers...we went to "Safe Haven" when I got off of work...SO good.)

January 2nd...

26 years ago, my dear mother gave birth to..."Mwa!" And suprise!...I ended up being the "New Year's Baby" at Gunnison Valley Hospital. Pretty amazing right?

It's so weird that I'm 26 by the way.

It's tradition for Mom, Kayla and I to go to Orem shopping and to a movie...as you can see we find any and every excuse known to man to do so. Do you blame us? Us 3 together....well, there's no words...

And let's not forget New Year's Eve with our friends, and New Year's Day sledding with the Mecham clan before my cousin Nicole left for her mission!

Christmas 2012

Mecham Christmas Party

Grandma Mill and Papa Jerry's Party

Opening Present's at Grandma and Papa Johnson's

Santa did a good job brightening this little girl's day.
So glad she had a great Christmas.
The spirit of Christmas is tenfold with a little one around....

And then...

I did this.

I love short hair, as I posted before.

I do miss it long sometimes, but it's still so fun.

Jaiya's Princess Party

I gave Jaiya the generous oppertunity to pick out her party "theme" in a magazine, and to my dismay she came up with 3 options.

1st, her favorite, was a gnome party. What the? I don't know how to throw a gnome party...

2nd favorite, real life kitty cats on paper plates. Pretty sure 90% of the fam would disown us since they LOVE cats so much...

3rd, which I liked too, but her daddy threw a fit over, was an OLIVIA party.

Then, Dustin and I collaberated and decided we would show her princess stuff...even if it was Disney characters, cause that DOES classify as "cute" for a two year old's party! And she adores her princess potty, so it's perfect right?!

It was a total hit!

Jaiya had a blast! All of the attention and fun gifts was 2 year old heaven!

She even blew out both candles with one breath! It was perfect!
