BBQ/ NFR

First and foremost....ANATOMY IS OVER!!! Yay for me! I took my final today, and despite difficulties with my tire blowing up on my way to class, I am so happy to be done for good! ...sigh...

I finally have a few things to post...

BBQ
Josh and Allayna came down last Sunday to BBQ. It was delish! We had hamburgers, brats, and Josh's pasta salad;) After dinner, we watched Four Christmases, went for a ride to look at Christmas lights, sat in the hot tub for a little while, and due to overheating, we decided to go to Denny's for some dessert! (and...I won't lie, I ate... again!!!) When we got back to our house, Allayna and I painted our nails and we all visited before Josh and Alley had to head home! Thanks guys for the fun night!!!

NFR
Mom and Jerry invited us again to the NFR this year in Vegas! What a great Christmas present! We were supposed to go down for Saturday nights rodeo thru Tuesday night, but due to a change in my class schedule, we drove down Monday after my class for the last 2 nights. The rodeo is so good every year. We had fun shopping, going to the movie, gambling and eating;)

Arriving at our hotel...

After our first night at the rodeo, we went to the movie The Blind Side. SO.DARN.GOOD! Loved it! Dustin thought since we were the only people in the theater that he could just kick back and relax! ha

We went shopping at Cowboy Marketplace at Mandalay Bay! We found some fun things! I love the fun places to shop during the NFR!

Mom and Jerry! At Cowboy Marketplace!

Dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse

Tip of that hat...

Of course, Dustin gambled...This is him playing Keno when we were out for ice cream after the rodeo;)

And, the end to our trip...Goodbye Vegas, hello -15 degree weather....;(
Can't wait for next year...

TOO MUCH...

One thing that I LOVE about blogging, is your blog is another form of "You!" You can say what you think, how you feel, what you are doing, who you are spending your time with...It says so much about who you really are...No one has to read it, no one gets the oppertunity to judge you (face to face at least), and anyone that spends the time to read it discovers the true "You!" What a spectacular thing...

On that note, I must take a minute to vent: You may scroll past this paragraph if you don't want to hear it! Another great thing about blogging;)
I feel, along with every other student on the planet, BOMBARDED with things to do...I can hardly think straight! I had my Lab Final today, I have quiz AND a TEST tomorrow and Thursday, I need to get my Applications to each hospital and Weber done AND in ASAP, I have a group final Monday, the NFR Monday night and Tuesday night, my class final next Thursday, I have job shadowing to do, and watchbands to keep up on...(not complaining about the last one!!! So much fun!!!) Ahhhhhhhh...Too much! I am trying to keep myself positive and motivated about school, but good grief it is so hard to do sometimes...there, I am finished...thank you!

Now, I just wanted to share that we had a FANTASTIC Thanksgiving this year! I do believe that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday...No one has to buy presents, family and friends get together to talk and reminisce, and everyone takes the time to recognize what they are thankful for in life! I love it!

We had Thanksgiving dinner at my Mom and Jer's this year...SO GOOD! Thanks mom! We ate, watched 4 Christmases (so funny), and ate some more before heading out to Grandma Linda's to see my dad! This is the one holiday he almost always makes it here for! It was so nice to see him;) He was hilarious with my little cousin Kort...they were fighting like Kung Fu Panda!!! ha ha

I will post pictures asap...I didn't have my camera so I have to steal them from Mom first!!!;) Love you all...;)

I have been....

Making Watchbands!;)

Yay! It has taken me a while to accumulate beads, but I finally have got most of them, and started this weekend! I have got 25 done last night, and tonight...fewwww...I have learned A LOT about the "bead business" through this new hobby of mine, and holy moly I could not believe how expensive some beads can be! But boy oh boy it is worth it! They are so fun!!! I wasn't planning on making watchbands or selling them for that matter, but I made some at a party, and FELL IN LOVE...it is so much fun to do! Hopefully you will enjoy them as much as I do! I am simply doing it because I love it!:) If you know of anyone, or if you need one for yourself or as a gift, I am now taking orders! Send me a message, call or text me, and I can have it to you, most likely, that day!

Here are a few pics...

I just wanted to hurry and post them since Christmas is coming up...If you have any preferences on colors, let me know, and I should have it, or I can get it;)...

It's in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped. -Anthony Robbins

Today, Dustin made the most important decision of his life...He was baptized a member of the church, and I could not be more proud of him. It was so neat to see the power of missionary work in our home, and the great affect it has had on our life! Not just through the Missionaries, but through all of those that have set such a great example for Dustin.

Dustin is such a strong person, and I always knew this day would come! My testimony has grown so much by watching this wonderful person that I have the priveledge to be married to, and to one day be sealed to. I could never tell you how much he has helped me grow as a person physically, mentally and spiritually.

One thing that I admire about Dustin, is he makes decisions that are best for him and for his family. He takes the time to study, and learn about things before he commits. This being the same with the gospel... I have learned so much from him about doing things for yourself despite what others may think. He waited until he was ready, and it made today that much more special...

Us with Bishop Freitas

My mom waited outside in the car so that she could get pictures afterwards!;) Thanks for all you do mom, we lOVE YOU!

Considering the fact that Dustin is EXTREMELY stubborn and wouldn't let anyone come, or let me have a dinner after the baptism, my mom and Jerry were so sweet and took us to lunch at our beloved El Mexi to celebrate;)

Mom and Jer

Bridger and Court were able to join us! We love these two to death, they have been such great friends!

I love you babe, you are such a great example to me, and to everyone around you. I look forward to spending an eternity with you...

Tis' the Season for BASKETBALL!

JAZZ VS. NUGGETS

At this very moment...we are camped out in the living room for the next 2 hours, eating and cheerin' on our favorite basketball team: GO JAZZ!

Today is the first game of the season, and you better believe that nothing could stop us from sitting here and watching like faithful fans! And, as you all know...during game season, we NEVER miss a game. NEVER! Dustin was pretty shocked when he came home tonight to find that the game was already on! Yep, that's right, I am one heck of a wife...who knew that of all things, that is the first thing he noticed! Not, the game food I had prepared, or the homemade bread, but....that's right...the game was on!

Now, let's get ready for a great season....GO JAZZ!

When life hands you lemons...make lemonade?!

Maybe this saying would be a little more inspiring and uplifting if I could make Dt. Dr. Pepper out of lemons...but I can't and therefore, I am just stuck with the lemons.

Every single year, and as I disgussed with you towards the end of the summer, I stress. Maybe it's normal, and I am sure it is, but as of lately it has went from stress to over-flippin'- whelming. Sometimes I just have to break down...like I did earlier today...sorry babe! I told you all I was going to try to be better, and I have tried...but I am only human I guess.

(apology for all the venting...but it tends to be very theraputic)

Now on to happier things...fewww

This past week/weekend we had so much going on. I had a HUGE test to study for, a Relief Society lesson to prepare, we had a wonderful wedding to attend, and our annual Platinum Party. With the exception of the test and the Relief Society lesson, we had a great week/weekend!

Our Platinum party was at a fun club called The Depot at the Gateway Mall. They had some Latin band, and latin dancers (one lady was bigger, as in muscular, than The Rock himself...she could have taken out her partner with her pinky finger...no lie!) Costa Vida and Cold Stone catered the party, good food is always a plus! It was great to see everyone, and to be able to relax and have some fun!

The girls...and Ladd!

Me, Tiff and Alley

Poor Dustin is cut out of this picture...but this is our group from our D.C office!

Quickly, I would like to congratulate Buzz and Camille Black on their wedding. They were so cute and their friends and family gave the funniest speeches...now the newlyweds are off in Hawaii enjoying the heat while we freeze here in Utah! Not fair...;)

Dustin's news...

Dustin was offered a job at Alltel this past week! He applied Thursday night, so hopefully we will hear from them soon! It will be nice for him to have a job and keep busy during the winter. He is really excited about it, and I couldn't be happier for him. Good luck babe!

He also was asked to coach the little girls Junior Jazz team. (cute, huh???) They have tryouts tomorrow and he can't wait to pick his team! The poor girls are really in for a treat, he started blabbling to me stuff he wants to teach them, and that he isn't sure if they are able to do and learn all of these really cool things yet....(ya, it was all jibberish to me, but hey, it all sounded cool) He hopes to have his cute little cousin Mischa on his team, so I am so excited start attending their games! We hear she is awesome!

You know what I love??? (besides my Hubby and puppy)

One FANTASTIC girls weekend in St. George! With just the gals!

Our annual girls trip to St. George has become one of my FAVORITE traditions! Not only because I LOVE to shop, or that I LOVE musicals, or even that I get away from homework, housework, and other chaotic parts of everyday life, but because I get to spend QUALITY time with my Mom, and sister(s). "Laughter is an instant vacation." ~Milton Berle ...and that it was... We laughed until it hurt- one of my favorite things to do!

We started the tradition of doing our "Favorite Things" to go along with our tradition of "Girls Weekend." It is always so much fun to see what everyone brings. When we first got to the hotel, we exchanged our "Favorite Things" and freshened up for some dinner at Cafe Rio! (my fave) Our hotel room was hilariously painted. It was like they said, "If we paint random parts of the wall, maybe it will look like a seperate rooms. We could do a BRIGHT RED wall that will be a great backdrop for our guests to take pictures...Oh, and lets put pictures of Eagles EVERWHERE in cheap frames, it will really brighten it up in here..." Not that I have anything against color, or eagles for that matter...but, I'm just sayin', maybe a little help from an interior designer would help boost their popularity...just a suggestion.

I love my mom...

...and my Sissy!

The infamous red wall! oh dear...

Our "Oh no you di'nt!" faces...ha ha Ma your silly!

This year we went to the musical AIDA. It is a sweet love story with music by Elton John. If you are at all interested in musicals, this is a MUST see! The acting and singing was amazing!

The two main leads...they couldn't have done better! I was so impressed!

We also spent the day doing my FAVORITE thing...going to the movies! We couldn't decide whether to see "All About Steve" or "Love Happens" so...we decided to go to both! We loved both movies. One was hilarious, and one was a cute/sad love story! I made sure to write my opinion under my .movies. section on my blog...

"The length of a film should be directly related to the endurance of the human bladder." Alfred Hitchcock And isn't that true...? Kayla and I invested in the LARGEST drink and popcorn you could get, and boy was it good...but I was about ready to have an accident midway through the movie. My Dt. Coke was ginormous!

We also made 2, very well-worth-it, stops by The Orange Peel for some Bubble Tea (or should I say Bubble Smoothie) I had forgotten how much I LOVED that place...awwww....pure deliciousness.

Thanks Mom and KAYLAuna Markavic for the fun trip! I can't wait until next year to see what craziness we can stir up! Love you both SO MUCH! And remember...what happens in St. George, stays in St. George! ha ha ha
