Arlington National Cemetary
Every Sunday, we try to take time after church, to go tour places that Dustin isn't able to go during the week because of work. Today we went with our friends to the Arlington National Cemetary. It is so incredible to see all of those head stones in honor of those who have served our country. I was very impressed with the reverance, and cleanliness that was throughout the entire cemetary. Last summer, in Texas, we were able to see the place where JFK was assassinated. I have since then been intrigued with the story, and seeing JFK and his families' burial sight today was so neat! We also were able to see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. There, we were able to watch the changing of the guards. For those who have never seen this, it is very impressive how strict and perfected these gaurds are. When watching the top of their hats, they glide so smoothly that they look as though they are floating. I am so glad I was able to see this with Dustin. History intrigues us both, and this is the best place to be to see memorials, and monuments of those who have made our nation what it is today.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
I just want to say Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers! Being a mother is one of the most important, and hard jobs you could ever find! I especially want to thank my mom and my mother-in-law for all that they do, and have done for me! I am so grateful that I have such a wonderful mother who has done everything she can to provide such a great life for me. She has always worked so hard, and loved everyone around her. She would do anything for anybody, and I admire that so much. It is times like these, being so far away from home, that you realize how much you depend on your mother. I rely on my mom for everything and I am so thankful that she is always willing to help me; whether it be with wifely duties like cooking and cleaning, or with friends or work, she always is available and full of advice! She is so loving and full of ambition, and I am so proud every time I hear how much I am like my mom! What an amazing women! Thank you mom for all you do! It is all very much appreciated! I love you mom!

We are now in D.C!
Today, my internet was finally set up, so I can now blog about our new residency...College Park, Maryland! We are now living in a suburb of D.C, and it has been so much fun! This is definitely the most "culture shock" we have had in all three years of being a part of Platinum! Their lifestyle here is very on-the-go. Busy, Busy, Busy!
Our ride out was suprisingly great! We hadn't had a lot of time this past year to just talk since I was so busy with work. So, we took the trip as an oppertunity to catch up and just talk! This is one of our favorite things to do, and it was long overdue!
Dustin has really seemed to enjoy selling out here. He is doing very well, and I am so proud of him for having the ambition to endure another summer. It is a great job, but definitely one of the hardest and most exhausting jobs Dustin has ever had!
The "wives" all took a couple of hours to go to D.C where we were able to go to the Jefferson Memorial! It was amazing, although, it made it difficult to enjoy the wonderful views with all of the RAIN we had that day. When it rains here, it pours! Mari had come to visit earlier that day so she was kind enough to take a few of us to D.C with her on her way home. Josh and Mari are currently living here, and it is so nice to be close to them! On the way home, we all rode the metro, which I have never done before. It was very interesting, and it is amazing how the metro system works! You can go just about anywhere on one!
Well, I will be sure to update everyone on our D.C Adventures throughout the summer. We hope everyone is doing well, and we would love to hear from all of you! Love you guys!And...Happy Mother's Day to all of you wonderful mothers!

Easter/ Dance Recital
I figured I should get my blogging fix in before we head out to D.C. It could take a while before we get internet...so I wanted to get caught up!
Easter was so much fun this year! (despite the furocious wind that gusted for hours at the desert) We did our usual, and went out to the East Desert to ride four-wheelers at the dunes. Our clan was a little bit smaller this year, but we had a blast! Their were Ma and Jer, Dust and I, Brandon and Steph and their 3 kids. When we got their the wind was so strong that we decided to go on a ride in the truck until it calmed down a little. Wind that strong, and sand do not mix well. It's like little needles hitting your body...not fun!:( Going to the desert has been a tradition since I was a little girl! I love it so much! It never seizes to amaze me how beautiful it is, and the stories that took place there fascinate me! It is definitely one of my favorite places in the whole world!

Dance Recital
Hadlee and Kayla had their end of the year dance recital this past week. I was able to make it to 2 out of the 3 nights! The theme this year was Disney. They all did such a great job with the characters and the dances! Hadlee is involved in jazz and ballroom and she does such a great job! Her partner in ballroom is Garrett Jensen. (I work with his mom in her Kindergarten class) It is hilarious because Hadlee watches the older kids dance, and next thing you know she is flipping her hair, and swinging Garrett in all different directions. It is so funny. I swear he had to have had whip lash by the time the 3rd night was over. It was so cute to watch!

Brynley, my cousin Maghan's daughter, is in tiny tots, and she is the cutest dancer ever! She absolutely loves being on stage. What a doll!
Landon and Kim's little girl Jakell is also in tiny tots, and she was blast to watch! They have the cutest little personalities and boy do they show when they get on stage!
Everyone worked so hard to get the splits for the recital, and EVERYONE did it! It was so funny to see all of the shocked people in the audience.

I decided to take my niece Shandee to the last night of the show. She had so much fun! She kept asking me if she could dance, and one time she about went on stage! I could not believe how well-behaved she was. The show was two hours long and she watched the whole thing! What a cutie!

Our Anniversary Trip
On our anniversary Dustin gave me roses and the sweetest card I have ever read! That night we had dinner at El Mexicano and rented a movie! We had so much fun just getting to spend the day together! Last year, we went to Vegas and stayed at the Palms for our anniversary. We went to see Mystere by Cirque du Soleil, and we loved it, so we decided to make it tradition! Unfortunately, I had to work the rest of the week so we planned our Vegas vacation for that weekend, the 12th-15th!
We left for Mesquite Thursday night after I got off work. We stayed there that night, and the next morning we got ready and headed to vegas to meet up with Zach and Tiff for lunch. They had been on their Spring Break and Anniversary Trip as well, so we all decided to get together while we were all down there! After lunch Dustin and I checked in to our room, and decided to go walk around the strip for a while!
That night, we went back to the hotel, and one of the ushers gave us a pass to get into the Ghostbar nightclub. We did't find it very fascinating since all they do there is drink so, we went back to put a little bit more money in the Wheel Of Fortune machine. I had caught a cold just before we left for the weekend, so I was ready for bed by 11 or so. I am sure Dustin was ok with that...he did get to gamble and all! The next morning we slept in, and then got up and layed out by the pool for an hour! It was the best weather, and that did not help my "spring fever" any! We quickly grabbed a bite to eat before getting ready to go see Blue Man Group at the Venetian.

Dustin wanted to go in the magic shop, and we spent 10 minutes watching this kid do card tricks, and throw light through his body, out his ears, in his mouth...it was crazy! He did a trick with my hand and some coins...I still can't figure out how he got that coin out of my hand...he must be pretty good!
Before it started we gave in to some yummy ice-cream at Haagan Das, and I was almost sold on buying the cutest wrap dress that could be warn a hundred different ways! I loved it...so I guess I was sold! Dustin, on the other hand, thought " I wouldn't wear it any more than two times like the dress he bought me in Mexico!.." blah blah blah! ha (He might have been a teensy bit right!) After luring me away from the wrap dress, we headed to the show! And it was AMAZING! I didn't expect it to be as good as it was! So many people have told me that out of all the shows down there it was their favorite, and now I see why! I wish they would let you take pictures!
The night before we had talked to one of the usher's at the Palms about one of the nightclubs, and he told us the next night he could get us on the guest list to go to all four! Their was going to be a show at Rain, so we were actually excited to go! (I'm not sure what happened for him to get us in, but it was nice of him anyway! Guess a little bit of chatting goes a long way!) We went to Rain for about 30 min. and decided it wasn't as fun as we expected so...

...we put some more cash in the Wheel of Fortune machine and I headed to bed! So, all in all we had a fantastic Anniversary! I was sad to send Dustin off to Arizona for a week to sell afterwards, but I am so glad I got to spend the weekend with him!
I am so lucky to have the wonderful husband that I do! He is such a sweetheart. I cannot believe that we have already been through two years of marriage, and going on our 6th year as a couple! It has been the greatest 6 years of my life, and I am so glad that I have such a wonderful person to share it with! Thank you sweetie for the great day! I love you!
